The Reelshark is a custom rigged 22’ Pro Lite Flats/Bay boat powered by an unbelievably quiet Suzuki 4-stroke outboard motor. It is one of the driest rides on the water and it will get you to the hot spots fast. On board you will find only top of the line Shimano and Daiwa reels attached to custom Connley rods. Capt. Mike is a 3rd generation Floridian who has been fishing the west coast of Florida since he was old enough to hold a fishing pole. By the time he was 12, he had his own personal Snook, Trout and Redfish hot-spots ranging from lower Tampa Bay through Charlotte Harbor.

His passion for shark fishing started around the age of 16, after a rather large Bull Shark ate a Redfish he was pulling in. To this day, Sharks remain one of Capt. Mike’s favorite target species; just ask any of the Boca Grande fishing Guides around.

In his early days, Capt. Mike traded Shark and Back Country fishing techniques with some of the best tarpon anglers the west coast had to offer. In exchange for these techniques, they taught him the fine art of catching the majestic Silver King. Catching a Tarpon in Boca Grande Pass, on the beach or in the back country, is a memory no fisherman will ever forget.

His main target species are Tarpon, Shark, Goliath Grouper, Snook, Trout and Redfish. But on any given trip there are dozens of other species that may be caught.
